Stolarz looked human, first line shadowed by the selke winner all night and Robertson doesn't pass to our leading scorer on a 2 on 1 where Willy had a completely open net for a tap in.

Robertson is an unmitigated disaster. I am shocked some of these guys have a spot. Not many years ago guys like Robertson were gone.

I thought they would win this one and lose on Saturday. Maybe it will be the opposite.
They'll lose Sunday unless 2 forwards are back. And I'm not saying that because I want them to. Our AHL guys need a breather to get their heads above water. And Marner, Tavares and Nylander just need a breather. (Nylander might get one).

Still early in the season and this game shows the gap between the Cup Champ and top contender and our Leafs.

Good lesson for them

Stolarz probably played his worst game of the season

leafs have to find a way to create more offensive at 5v5 even with all injuries( now Mcmann also on the lost). Hopefully knies and matthews could be back saturday.

This felt like it was going to be a loss. They've been playing over their heads and talent level for a while, and against the reigning Eastern champs of the last two years it was going to be a tall task. Can't really get mad when 6 of your top 9 forwards are out, and your main 4C is also hurt.

Not much to take from a game like this where you are missing nearly your entire forward lineup. At best, at least Berube gets a taste for what playoff hockey looks like in Toronto when you face a Bettman sacred team.

Well, when you only have 3 of your top 9 forwards you will likely lose, especially to a good team like FLA

On to the next one

Goal # 4 from Verhege(so?) all Stolarz had to do was stand up and the puck hits him. For a huge goalie he is always down

It seems like you don't understand the nuances of sports.

A team that is riding a high shorthanded that is facing am established team in a lull is a recipe for disaster.

The reason sports betting does so well is because they suck people into the wrong patterns.

Don't bet on any trend in a division game or a rivalry game.

Obviously losing Montour and OEL hurt but Florida wasn't 2 guys away from being terrible.

Missed the game to watch Wicked with the wife, how was it tonight? McMann injured?!

About what you'd expect to see at this point. Horrible start, decent 2nd. Not a lot of offense, played hard but with a glorified Marlies lineup. Probably closer than the score says but still 2nd best. Yeah, Mcmann is injured. Doesn't look severe, but likely a tweak that will keep him out a couple 3 weeks or so.
