I dunno about that last part, they've scored at least 3 goals every game so far, whereas with Keefe they only had more than 2 goals once in every playoffs game following that 4-1 comeback game against Tampa in 2023, and even before that often had 2 goals or less in elimination games.

That's not offensive generation though, which is at its lowest. That's just facing 0.848 goaltending instead of 0.930+ goaltending.

That's always going to be the case though. Not every team is going to get swept. Most likely you'll be 3-2, 2-2 or 2-3

Except for also, Ottawa isn't Tampa. There's no Kucherov, Stamkos, Vasi or Pointe here. Not to mention Hedman

Also, we were down against Tampa the year we went to 2nd round. We are not going to sweep every team

It sucks because any other fans would be fine with 3-1 and be estatic. But past history of this core would suggest we should not be happy with anything, until we secure the win. That unfortunately is the current state of leafs fans, thanks to this core

We're up 3-1 and the other team is green as hell. Some of the doomerism is shocking even to a pessimist like me. We're not facing Kucherov or the better Tkachuk. It's Ottawa. They barely avoided a sweep. Even when they outplay us they lose. This should be done Tuesday. The way Sportsnet praises Ottawa you'd think Brady was Eric Lindros. Sens haven't been able to avoid stick penalties after 4 games. Knies looks like the best player on either team.

We still haven't seen Matthews arrive and were up 3-1. I'm not worried at all about Ottawa. Panthers is another story

After the pandemic, everything was put into perspective. I know such lessons fade with time but I try to remember the hell and fear we all went though, put sports into perspective that's for sure.

That said, they need to win ONE Cup in my lifetime. Why not this year? They have the horses but do they have the drive and desire?
