Stolarz was off on that one but a close match that went against us. Tuesday is a huge one.

Stolarz had a really bad game.

4 goals on 23 shots. Ouch.

Of course the elbow of Zub takes Tavares off the most important PP of the series. Why was Rielly on the PP over OEL? Rielly had 0 threat to shoot, you can't replace Tavares with him.
Bingo

I also don't get why this team is so adamant on trying to clear pucks along the boards. Ottawa keeps clogging up the boards waiting for the clear attempt.

Leafs could set up breakaway after breakaway faking a puck at the boards and going through the the middle.

Even Brodeur has had 5 GA games during his cup winning run. Blaming a loss solely on a goalie when the forwards didn't do shit on a 4 minute PP is a weird take.
It was on stolie today are you kidding me maybe one of those goals wasn’t

I put down 50 bucks this a.m that sens would win the series. 800 bucks win for comfort . But I am pretty sure I just wasted 50 bucks

If they lose this, might be just it for me. How can anyone keep justify being a fan and wasting time watching these guys? How much pain and trauma can we take? I was so close to ditching this team after the debacle against MTL in 2021.
They ain’t going to blow it Sun13, come on. We’re fine, this round at least. It’s done Tuesday. Which is fine, don’t get me wrong wanted though t done today, but Tuesday might be more of a sweet spot of rest and not too long lay off.

At least he got a point tonight. Normally in elimination games he couldn't even get any points. He and Matthews have to be better in game 5.
The goal that was originally unassisted 🤣 he does find a way

I know, just responding to the other poster. Hope they just finish this off on Tuesday for all of our sakes.

Example 312 of stupid fan takes tonight..

Tell us you know nothing about hockey, without telling us you know nothing about hockey.

Most of our fans have literally no idea what they are watching.

They know goals and assists.

We also have to be careful not to make injury based excuses for Matthews subpar play. We have no clue.
That's fair too.

But if the baseline is the version of Matthews that we've seen pretty consistently in the past, and the comparison is the version we've seen for most of this year that has seen him miss a lot of time AND travel overseas to try and sort out whatever is bothering him?

There's at least grounds for speculation around his health.

It starts with you.

Example 1: You criticized the poster without actually making a counter point. I'm going to be generous and assume you had a point to make and forgot to make it in your fit of rage. You instead focused on telling us how you're better than the majority of posters on these boards.

Stollie was off tonight. It is forgivable at the moment.

Yes, Stolarz is a very good goalie but clearly Eddie Belfour circa 2004 he is not. We can't expect him to play at hall of fame level all the time. Ed Belfour had 3 shutouts in that series against the Sens in 2004, unreal.

Sorry, I have watched. I've watched the dude give up 4 terrible goals in 4 games. It's very difficult to win games when you can be guaranteed one softie against per night. That's Samsonov / Campbell stuff.
Brother. Have you seen his numbers in the series. Minus this game he’s only let in 2 goals a game. That’s plenty winnable. Not to mention several breakaway saves. Give it a rest. He’s the best G we’ve had in decades.
