Post-Game Talk: Leafs Lose 4-3 in OT | Lead Series 3-1

At least Tavares came back after that hit. I was worried.

Ullmark outplayed Stolarz, Matthews needs to be better.

I called the Leafs in 5. As Jean-Luc would say, "make it so."
I had them in five as well, but the sweep would have been sweet!

Sens are feeling good now... but I am not sure they can be any better. We have seen their best three games in a row now. I am not sure we have seen the Leafs best yet. They need to dig that out for Tuesday.

This is the NHL. you are not going to get free wins
Leafs played well but we were too defensive minded

Berube is overcoaching, McMann needs to be in the 2nd line

Matthews again, I hate to say it, doesn't step up in closing games. He needs to have a game where he just dominates. For his own sake

Not the best game by Stolarz and he's let in a couple softies this series. But he's been very good overall and won 3 for us. Would be shocked if he doesn't play the next one
Oh, I know that they will start him. But he hasn't been good. It's not so much the numbers (although they were awful today), he has just developed this pattern of allowing goals at terrible times when the Leafs have completely locked down the game defensively. That shorthanded goal was brutal. That overtime goal was brutal. He lost them the game tonight, single-handedly.

Bad special teams, not great goaltending. Usually not ends up with this type of result

For sure. And not having Tavares on that PP did not help.

That just ended an 8 (EIGHT) game winning streak. And just barely. Leafs were the better team in the second, third and OT.

They just need to stick with it and they should be able to win on Tuesday.
JT not being there was huge, he makes the pp way more fluid and takes the eyes away

The outcome isn’t what’s bothering me, it’s essentially just Matthews. I hate to play the blame game but he looked completely unprofessional, lethargic, apathetic and downright looked like he didn’t wanna be there for the 4 minute pp.

Despite that when he gets chances he once again can’t finish anything. It had shades of 4 nations all over again but this time it was ullmark in net not Binnington.

Did everyone here think they were just going to win 16 in a row? Split the series on the road, that's the second best outcome. The refs have been absolute shit dive game one and the leafs dominated period two onwards. I'm Toronto 100% win

Could not agree more!

Having the last change will help, as will the short change during play.
