I don't think Marner is going anywhere. The Leafs will resign him, if for no other reason that he has far less trade value if he is going into a contract year.

These playoffs were about him finally proving he can be a force in the playoffs and so far he’s the same player.
Didn’t know this. It’s bad enough we gifted them Tuuka Rask all those years ago.

He does some good things. These playoffs should determine whether they re-sign him or trade him and if he continues to at this pace they’ll have to trade him.

Yeah, I think at this point he would welcome a trade to certain teams if asked. Problem is his cap hit. Who can take that on? Not many half decent teams.

If Boston wins I think they’ll be making a whole bunch of changes and Marner probably will be one of them.

Hard for him not to feel that way with how the Leafs gave away the game tonight...every shot on Samsonov is a hold-your-breath moment. No team could ever win a series, or even extend it to 7 games with goaltending and special teams like what the Leafs are showing.

even as a UFA I don’t think there will be a GM in the league that pays him what he wants. He is not a $12M player imo.

Tre should pick up the phone and asks, doesn't hurt...best destination for Marner is probably Utah...new team could use some regular season star power, and Leafs could get a good package coming back.
