Dropping 2 spots in the standing isn't meaningless.
In a year without fans, yes it is.

The team that was a complete no show in the playoffs last year with a PP that went 0-12.
No showing the final 2 regular season games with the coldest PP in the league is a great way to enter the playoffs.
Congrats on 6th Keefe, such a historic placement.
Leafs sputter to the finish line. Baffling decision not to rest the team if they were just going to phone this one in anyways.
Oh well - bring on the playoffs.

Do you not understand the impact of getting the last change? In a year without fans, yes it is.

We've lost 4 games in regulation in our last 25 and went 7-1-2 in our last 10.
16-4-5 in our last 25. How is that sputtering?
You do realize they have no cap room to do it right?
I dunno, last change seems pretty important...In a year without fans, yes it is.
Literally the only thing that mattered about tonight was getting through the game healthy.
Mission accomplished.
This game was otherwise utterly meaningless and it showed both in play and in how players were deployed.
Do you not understand the impact of getting the last change?
And when we may be playing in arenas with US fans, it’s likely better to limit the amount of games our opposition gets energized by them
