Sharks had 31 blocked shots, seems like a crazy amount.

We had a lot of giveaways, mostly by the D.

I keep seeing that stat as though it was a terrible disadvantage for the Leafs.

According to the list I could find, Montreal has 15, Toronto and 3 other teams have 14, 9 teams have 13 and 10 teams have 12.

24 of 32 teams have between 12 and 15 back to back. Leafs with 14 isn't the huge disparity some people are trying to make it.

The third game in 4 nights all in different cities is a reasonable point.

I would front load all my back to backs to start the season. Leave on a couple for Feb and March

15 shot attempts - 4 blocked, 5 missed, 6 saved. He was on the rifle range, but shooting blanks - same as Willy (except in the SO).

I agree he seems to be off - but last night he was at least taking shots, which apparently some posters didn't notice.

Not getting/taking shots and getting/taking them but not scoring are two different things.

They're facts.

The Leafs were playing their 3rd game in 4 nights on a travelling back to back... and got 5/6 points and are now flying to Vegas to play again.

They got the most back to back's in the NHL this year, it's a rough schdule and this month is the worst. April is better in terms of rest. It doesn't help that our 3 most important players were all playing in the 4 nations while other teams were resting for 2 weeks as only 4 countries were included.

Well I got news for you. The playoffs are going to be even more rough.

Wouldn't call it that, they have played a lot of hockey since coming back from the tournament. 6 games of hockey in 10 days. -- both of them being in segments of 3 games in 4 days.

They looked tired towards the end of the game. It is what it is.

Don't ignore the fact that same powerplay earlier in the game scored twice.

Maybe he's trying to get Matty and Mitch going.

Last 10 games Matty has 2 goals, one an EN. Mitch has 5 assists and is 6th on the team in points.

Willy and Knies have been carrying the offence with 6 goals each.

Sure, but if they win 5 games for every loss. They would sweep the first round and win the next 3 series 4 games to 1
