It's almost as if players on other teams aren't always better then the players the Leafs have. Domi pretty much looks like Kerfoot but way worse defensively, so far, at least.

Bert looks pretty much like Bunting so far.

Klingberg is good with the puck, and moving it up the ice, defensively, obviously not great.

As much as Schenn probably was overpaid for what he does, I thought him and Rielly looked good in the playoffs, and it would have been nice to keep him.

The reality is we're heavily cao restricted.

We have huge holes in the bottom 6, we arguably lack two top 4 D(at least one top pairing D), our starter has looked like Russian Jack Campbell, Keefe is a joke.

And while I understand addressing all of those needs is impossible, if we weren't paying over 21 million for the likes of Marner & JT, at the very least we could address some of the mess.

Sorry for your loss as well. It gets easier but also doesn't. They miss so much and you wish you could share it with them. But for Brodie it is so fresh and he is having a rough start to the season I bet he really is a mess right now.

Yep, was 26 at the time and had a lot to deal with, usually a scar is shrink or heal, it is more managing and living with it I found. It definitely is hard on the guy.

I read an article that said he's playing hurt. If that's how he looks hurt against other teams top defences then I'm not worried about him once the playoffs come around. Your average player would die playing on Matthews wing hurt

Being a jays and leafs fan is really frusterating. I think it’s best to distance myself from disappointment, nothing will change with either of these Toronto teams for the foreseeable future. Just a bunch of entitled millionaires and incompetent management to boot. Add in rookie coaches and it’s quite depressing
