The old man 4th line really looks rough.
No way, Engvall and Mikheyev in the same game.
Moving the puck from the defensive end to the offensive end is the only thing that Rielly does that has much value. Hopefully it isn't an indication that it's drying up nowPressuring a defenseman making a play is always the right call especially a panicky guy like Rielly.
It was worse here when it was Gardiner making those mistakes tbqh. The expectation with Morgan was that his offensive and transition game would offset his bad defence but this year has been especially eye-opening for me but I guess fans aren’t entitled to critique a player on a hockey discussion board now. In a year where the team might need to determine whether an expensive, long-term commitment should be made, where a player has been put in a position to succeed, the end result has been very underwhelming. Here comes 20 Rielly posts.
Don't know what to make of Mikheyev. He's a great skater and that was his 7th goal. He could easily have 12-15 goals if he fished better and got a little bit of puck luck. The guy seemingly could pace for 15-20 goals in a full on a consistent basis with all the chances he creates.
Just a strange player, who leaves you underwhelmed.
I just said what was coming, not that it wasn't warranted. It was worse here when it was Gardiner making those mistakes tbqh. Problem isn't him or Engvall. It's our expectation
They have both done remarkable jobs consideirng their roles and capability. We expect too much out of them
We keep comparing them with players with better names like Kapanen and Kadri who were our 3rd liners
If they played in 4th line, nobody would complain
To be fair it felt like more of a fluke than a legitimate play on the Jets part…it’s just that with Rielly, I’m always anticipating him rounding out his game but right now he’s not even living up to his pre-draft hype. He’s supposed to be a great transition player yet his stretch pass continues to be quite suspect, oftentimes leading to unforced icings. Then there’s the nit picking with his shot usage on the PP, but I think that’s unfair to him.Pressuring a defenseman making a play is always the right call especially a panicky guy like Rielly.
Cap reasonsCan someone tell me why Sandin isn’t in the lineup? He’s missed like 3 in a row. Don’t tell me it’s cause of that one bad play he made.
