Where does the NHL find these dumbass refs? That penalty was a joke but how could you possibly see a cross check there? They are legit getting dumber every year

refs have an inferiority complex. as a child they wanted to play in the NHL. but they soon realized they have no skill or intelligence so what now? they become a ref and move through the ranks and now they need to take matters into their own hands to stay relevant

GM wanted to turn this into early 2000s Detroit. Drafted a lot of European players especially from Sweden, particularly in latter rounds
None that has panned out.
