The problem is that we've had virtually no in-organization player development happening for half a decade.

We've been giving up on players we develop way too quickly, and drafting a ton of duds (Hunter).

Leafs went into buy mode a little too early in their build and blew out an entire prospect class for cap juggling purposes.
