who is gonna score in this anemic offense they need some better players out with the core in with a bunch of journey men

offense is struggling, so lets replace a core that has proven they can score at a high pace with a bunch of aging journey men LOL. crazy logic

how's that working out for calgary? cause that's essentially what they did and they are not very good.

Woll played well, none of the goals were his fault. The offense is struggling and the disallowed goal was the difference, Mathews needs to get going.

Ok so he was going with Nylander. Now he is back with MM he is sucking again 5v5. Vast minority seem to point this fact out and just blame AM because it couldn't be how MM plays (selfish trying to rack points for a contract)

you may say that Marner is playing for a big contract, but he's their best player right now. Hopefully Mathews is still recovering from his injury and will get better. I think that Mathews would be lucky to get 30 goals this year.

Go to the F*%#ing NET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is why we shouldn’t extend Marner. They are still the same team they have always been. Sure he was dancing but in the playoffs this will get old fast and we will continue to be one series and done.

Honestly I think this team needs a pure hockey trade like Marner for a first pairing D man. Fox would be ideal. Great PM DMan who can manage the PP. Unfortunately Marner likely wouldn’t oblige the team if they told him we wanted to move on.

You are likely right. I agree.

Since we are stuck the least they could do is let AM MM and WN have their own line.

The December schedule is tough for all teams and those are the types of games I expected to see.

Originally when Matthews signed his contract I was a little bit sad; I mean it was only a 4 year extension. Now I'm watching him play, and I wish they let him walk as a UFA

Auston Matthews is injury prone, and a complete playoff choker. He's also the highest paid player in the league. He floats around like an absolute b**** What an absolute joke the Leafs are. Good thing the Leafs will re-sign Marner for 15 million dollars per season

Think Willie is one of those players who is just too unpredictable to play with. His linemates either need high IQ to predict what Willie is going to do or just have a crash and bang style that fits Willie.

Willy is very individualistic and his effort is mercurial. That is why he belongs on a third line with physical and good defensive players to cover up his deficiencies. The flipside is that he doesn't need them to generate some offense when he feels like it. When he's on he's our Phil Kessel adding offense from the 3rd line. When he's not - which is often - the other two make the line not get caved in totally.

1. AM is injured. To me looks like rt shoulder. When he scored last game his celebration was with left arm.
2. Once again it looks like room issues. There is no aggression on this team, again. No toughness, no face washes, no standing up for mates. Reaves had better do his job, along with Benoit, Tanev, McCabe, Lorentz, McMann, Knies, Grey, Have you seen anyone try to gift the other team into a penalty.
3. They may be in first or close but they are sleep walking. This team did the same for Keefe, like they give so much and no more than that. You cannot embarrass them, they are not embarrassed about last night...coasting thru

Yet when he is away from Marner he drives and plays harder. Go figure.

Minten might be slowing down a bit with the NHL grind

Problem is who do you bring in?

Domi is a big disappointment this season.. he’s suppose to lead the secondary scoring charge and can’t do anything in the O zone
It just might be time for Domi to move on to yet another team. He is just useless to our Leafs this season!

Nope, it looks to me like the core could care less about winning. As long as their bank balances keep rising, they don't care about anything else.

Sure, they go through the motions, but until they are actually producing positive results, nothing will change for our Leafs.

The entire team played like this was a scheduled loss. I'm tired of this team, especially the core players!

Berube has to get some depth out of the line up .. Marner has been doing well with JT lately. Domi needs to get going.
Domi needs to get going to yet another team. He's not adding to the secondary scoring that our Leafs need!

This team is straight up weird

When were good defensively our offense disappears and when we're going offensively we can't defend for ****

I'd like to say I'm shocked by the loss but I'd be lying, we've been poor for the last couple of weeks and it caught up to us

You can't play like this and expect the results to be stellar, we got what we deserved

Hopefully this helps the boys to pull there heads from there asses
They've had 8 f***ing years to pull their heads from their asses. It hasn't happened, and I don't think it ever will.

Serious player personnel changes were required last off season. Instead, they just shuffled the deck chairs on a sinking ship.

easy to imagine what grapes would have said about Matthews' flamingo in front of the empty net on the 2-1 goal, a play that was the result of a cutesy attempt to receive a breakout pass off his skate
