I believe in '03-'04 the Leafs led the Eastern Conference (and NHL) standings in points around Christmas time. They had a 16 game point streak that propelled them to the top of the Conference.

I don't know if they were still in first by January. I don't think they've led the East once in points beyond November since the 2004/2005 Lockout.

Might have happened with those early 2000’s teams at some point. I think we won the division at least few times, must have been hanging around the top of the conference a bit at least?

I don't think we won the division actually, we always ended up in stupid four versus five matchups, usually ones we didn't belong in because of the one division getting the third seed automatically even though they sucked.

Gave the guy a 3 year term. Supposedly Patty and Jumbo were the guys that "mentored" the core into not giving the team any break on the cap hit because the team might not spend the savings correctly anyways! Then obviously the infamous "were in 1st place" quote from Jumbo. Just absolutely brain dead decisions bringing career losers in to guide your young core lol then Patty costs us a 1st rounder on the way out!

Seriously though, is it me or is today's young generation beard challenged? I grew a full beard at 19 in like 1989/1990. My kid is 21 and still has peach fuzz and that pretty much matches what I see with just about everyone else his age. We need to make facial hair great again. MFHGA.
