He isn’t good defensively and we don’t need him on the PP. He’s good depth, but not in my top 6 come playoffs.

It's also not really cool of the Leafs to acquire him just to sit (which he will if he sticks around). The dude was having a good season in Washington where he was playing regularly and producing, and being a fringe guy for most of his career he was on track to get some security with a decent contract this summer. If we just him sit out the rest of the way we're basically f***ing him over.

Just trade him and move on.
