When other teams add; they are not looking for the 'new additions' to do more than the core

In Leafs nation; it seems the core is being excused while the new guys are already called out.

The only person who left our regular bottom 6 is Engvall and a combination of Holmberg, McMann, Anderson, Simmonds or whoever.
Acciari and Lafferty are pretty fast skaters too.
I really don't see we lost speed in our bottom six

It’s hard to give this group the benefit of the doubt. The core players look like they just met and clearly don’t have the culture in the room to take care of the new guys. I get it if Gustafsson looks shaky and has a bad bounce on the goal against. But our skill guys can’t even complete a 10 foot pass?
