GDT: Leafs Flames @7

To be honest it was a good break form Leafs hockey for me too. Good time to air out the stench of the last few games. But ready to get right back at it!

Simmonds probably won't fight for a while but someone to lay solid hits would be nice.

I agree it's been a nice break, especially with so many games in that last stretch. That said, I missed it at the same time and can't wait for tonight. Drop the puck!

Richie,Bennett and Lucic all in the lineup tonight. Tkachuk on first line. Sutter has some jam on every line tonight. I think they are going to try laying a pounding on us physically. Remains to be seen. I still see needed improvements physically in this roster when you cross check it to the Flames lineup.
If Andersen stinks the place out tonight, Campbell will have the net starting Tomorrow.
I don’t like Andersen starting.

Have the Flames really scared you at all this year when we've played them?

We've absolutely dominated them in 5 on 5 play. As long as their goalie doesn't play like Hasek against us again we'll be fine.

Marner & Matthews having a strong game offensively for a change would be nice. Anyways they were worn out last week and they show when we need them.

I would focus on skating skating skating, take the cheap shots, build a lead and then unleash a torrent of payback once the win is in the bag. Wayne Train coming.

Also, it a team like Calgary wants to run around, fine. But they also have Johnny Gaudreau. I mean, not smart.

Hopefully it's time for Matthews to be an offensive threat again. More than the recent losses watching him dish off to players like Muzzin when he's in a prime scoring area has been infuriating the past two weeks.

Every team has that kind of schedule, though. It's not unique to the Leafs. If a team wants to win the Stanley Cup, they have to play through fatigue regardless.

Sure but there's a big difference between getting that stretch in January vs getting it the month before the playoffs.
