Like playing chess against yourself in public.Dubas built both teams. He played himself...and won.
Technically you win, but people make fun of you.

Oh i thought you were talking about when they dominated in 2016Yes he was. 13-14 and 14-15
Best complete game I have seen the Leafs play this year.
the constant defence towards dubas reminds me of jesusThe hate towards Dubas reminds me of the hate for Tavares from NYI fans
what the f.... I don't think anyone has ever brought up dubas' stance on politics or his political views. slow down with the hyperbole there bud.It is really weird. I think people who hate people for their political views are one of the dumbest things possible.
L + ratio + dubas better am I rightDubas built both teams. He played himself...and won.
He's better than Kyle as a GM cause he doesn't care about stuff like that. He's building a resilient playoff team. Some might be having anxiety attacks that Treliving suddenly has a shot at moving into first place for GM of the Leafs team that had the most points in a season.
What's his track record like in building a resilient playoff team? He's better than Kyle as a GM cause he doesn't care about stuff like that. He's building a resilient playoff team.

This 100%Treliving is definitely saving MLSE a tonne of money in not paying off "reporters" for favorable coverage.
You know, the ones that have been trying to convince you that the secret to winning Cups is how many of the Expected Goals per 60 during 5-on-5 time happen when on home ice when we're not being "goalied".....
Because when we get "goalied", all of the sudden all bets are off and when we lose in the first round and play-in series year after year, we're just supposed to accept that because that's just what happens when you go up against guys like Korpisalo...
Imagine being as gullible to believe this bullshit all of this time.
There's a reason Dubas got boo'd mercilessly by the Leafs faithful, and it's because a lot of our fanbase recognize a bullshit loser fraud when they see one come, and go....
Shanny should have left toothey are upset he left. they should boo Shanny
This is spot on, it's not that we won big, it's how we won big. You can legit call us feisty, scrappy, a pack mentality. It's fun to watch a team come together like this. It's a process, but now you're seeing an earlier Domi sticking up for his teammate rub off on a Knies for example, it's becoming an identity. This has me very encouraged, the snot factor is real.I like the 7-0 and the boys scoring and playing a great game. But what I love is the fact that the boys played like a pact. Not just Knies and Beniot but also JT shoving Sid back when the game was like 6-0 or something. Thats what this team lacks, playing and hunting like a pact. They did it once in the past 7 years and won against TB. They need to do that more and more playoff wins will come.
I made the comment during the game that there was new team chemistry and that they appeared to be jelling. Don't know what it is, but loved that Knies went and fought after Domi got hit. The hit on Domi was dirty, and deserved a response. I think this can be contagious and spread to more Leafs. This will dictate how we do in the playoffs. This is spot on, it's not that we won big, it's how we won big. You can legit call us feisty, scrappy, a pack mentality. yup,. just protecting his own assShanny should have left too
And you know, we're going to be adding some snarl on the backend. A team needs a couple catalysts and then it becomes contagious. I predict 34 throws hands this year. Watching JT with Crosby, literally pushing back, made me smile.I made the comment during the game that there was new team chemistry and that they appeared to be jelling. It's never adding one or two players with snarl, its whether as a team we develop snarl.
Look at Boston, they have chippy players, but individually not so tough. But when something happens on ice, they swarm and act
like a wolf pack. Tampa had this too.
We have to develop this.
The irony is, this psycho isn't wrong. PIT won 3 cups in their core, we've won 1 round in almost 20 years.
So this team has become serious? And you know, we're going to be adding some snarl on the backend. A team needs a couple catalysts and then it becomes contagious. I predict 34 throws hands this year. Watching JT with Crosby, literally pushing back, made me smile.
Ask around the league, I bet the narrative of us being easy to play against is changing, slowly.
There was a number of tribute videos planned, to celebrate our playoff successes. They couldn't fit it into one video so the plan was to do 3 videos, one halfway through each period.Anyone who attended, was there a celebration of Dubas' return? video tribute? standing ovation?
i didn't see one but i did see a group of his die hard fans from this board huddled around a cell phone holding hands and weeping while they watched a home made video tributeAnyone who attended, was there a celebration of Dubas' return? video tribute? standing ovation?
