No doubt having a high end defensive player would fit in the current coaches system better than OJ's glove but a high end defensive defenseman would have a greater (positive) impact (imho).

Leaves have the least noticeable star players. Nylander is legit good, but Mathews and Marner are always ghosts when I watch. Their stats are shocking vs the eye test.

i have no idea what we’re talking about here but if we put ohlund’s left eye and manny’s right eye together, that’s the greatest defensive player in canucks history
tangentially related, he’s not there yet but if we invested the work into brisebois i can see a more credible 6D there than any of forbert, juulsen, or des.
...and it took 41 posts in the PGT for anybody to mention him by name despite shutting the Leafs out on HNIC. Blows my mind how so many here just take him for granted...
