Honestly that was probably one of their best 60 min efforts all year. Just the perfect road win. So frustrating because the team can clearly play this way but are so wildy inconsistent. Gave the Leafs players zero time and space.

If we can somehow win in Winnipeg the road trip can end 2-1-2 and it's not terrible. Hoping this is a turning point for the team.

Especially given that the Canucks, as I write this, are in the air coming from Raleigh, the deck feels stacked against us here. We haven’t had great showings in Toronto of late, the team is struggling right now, and they’ll be tired.

On the one hand, this feels like one of those classic unexpected win scenarios where the team plays its ass off and pulls it out.

But on the other, probably more realistic hand, it feels like a potential blowout.

I’ll hope for the former but be prepared for the latter.

frankly I didn't see a whole lot different from yday to today beyond the puck bounces going our way tonight. and obviously that's how it goes in hockey, but yeah.

Their breakouts were more consistent and clean.

Pettersson had an even better game, and they pushed offense when it was there. Few long range flippers.
