It doesn't matter what the lines are if all they are going to do is dump it in
If they did one of those heat map graphics, I'd need welding glasses to look at our end. There's meaningless shot totals and then there's 15-1 lol...
I know a lot of you dislike Keefe, but I think this is honestly the perfect team for him, it is one of the few teams that I think can play super high-possession hockey like he probably wants.
Haven't been watching them and was unimpressed in the first game against us, but curious how they will do this year, I always thought they were one of the most talented teams.
This is actually a decent take. We're last to the puck almost every time. The problem, as i see it ,is that the leafs are a slow team and they can’t keep up with jersey.
Being a clown is technically performance artIs this some kind of performance art?
Maybe we get 0 shots. lol!Only positive is that the Leafs will define be better in the second period.
The bar has been set...Only positive is that the Leafs will define be better in the second period.
I think being irritated about a first period of a game in December is a bit over the top, but everyone watches the game differently. Shots on net is one of the more meaningless stats, but whatever. This game means nothing whether the Leafs win or lose. They are either going to finish first or second in the division. Winning or losing a single period doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things.Well they had at least a half dozen high danger chances, buzzed us regularly, had several 2 on ones, and outshot us on our powerplay. They are playing well, and we are not. Good news is theres still time and Stolie stole a period...
The sad thing is, they're not. BUT Berube has put one slow player on every line. The problem, as i see it ,is that the leafs are a slow team and they can’t keep up with jersey.
The important part is they’re also leading in fighting majors apparently
Such a dumb question.why change the rules for Sid and Ovi?
They shouldn't change the rules for anyone. It's either a rule or it's not.why change the rules for Sid and Ovi?
Problem may be we are last on purposeThis is actually a decent take. We're last to the puck almost every time.
Finally a sensible response. I appreciate that it may be frustrating to watch, but it really means very little. Put another way, I promise that jersey will not outshoot the Leafs 45-3 in this game. It all evens out. You're probably right but it's still frustrating to watch as a diehard. And the truth is there seems to be a bit of a pattern forming.
Only positive is that the Leafs will define be better in the second period.
The problem isn't with the entire core; it's with some of the players in the core.See, that's the thing. If you gonna hire Berube and his dump and chase then you needed to shake up the core. Obviously, the NTCs make it impossible.
In my nearly 25 years of watching this team, I don't think I have ever seen a worse 1st period played, certainly not one where they ended up still tied.
then go on with the riveting commentary of what Simpson character would O-Dog be.Such a dumb question.
You're right, it's a game we won't remember, and bad stretches are a given, so you don't over react. But, you also don't polish the turd as it steams right in front of you.I think being irritated about a first period of a game in December is a bit over the top, but everyone watches the game differently. Shots on net is one of the more meaningless stats, but whatever. This game means nothing whether the Leafs win or lose. They are either going to finish first or second in the division.
