New Jersey has been on fire of late and Keefe lost his first game against the Leafs back in October. Got a bad feeling about this one though the Leafs have had the Devils number for a few years.

Also bizarre that Pacioretty isn't being reunited with Tavares and Nylander when that line was on absolute fire before Patches injury.

Seems like something that never happened but to each their own.

I don't agree with Matthews and Marner together but when your two best players are different positions there is not many teams or coaches that don't play them together.

F'real.. I thought the "galaxy braining" of the lineups was over with Keefe out. We demoted Knies last game with Patch's return, and my guy Knies proceeded to have his worst game in a Leafs jersey ever. Connect the dots, Craig.

Nice conspiracy theory...

They were apart until the Preds game, then put together again in the third period, where they proceeded to score two goals together in the first 2:29 to get the Leafs back in the game, and to the win.

Together, they've really been the only offensive spark in the last little bit... no matter how many black helicopters circle around.

It just so happens that Marner and Matthews were involved in the only goals last game.

Marner has 5 points in the last three games with Matthews on the ice. Matthews has 4 points.

Leafs have 5 goals over that time.
