Here is a take why not put three amigos on three different lines to hopefully get some offense. Its not like Matthews-Marner are dominating.

two options:
1) put Willy-Mitch together for the 3rd period
PR
2) put them on separate lines. Short fast shifts and play the heck outta the three lines

Jankrok-Laferty-Willy (from what little I watched in the 2nd they looked ok)
Bunting-Acciari-Marner
Kerfoot-Matthews-Steeves
Zar-Kampf-Holmberg

If you took Bunting’s finishing ability and Kerfoot’s everything else, you’d have a pretty good player. He’s fast, handles the puck like a dream, works hard, heads up smart. It just somehow ads up to less than you’d think.

If there is any justice in sports, it has to be Kerfoot. We preach hard work will pay off all the time and Kerf works his ass off.

It is encouraging that the Leafs are now actually in this game after that dismal first. I do think it’s horseshit that after a Western road swing our next game is still on the road. NHL scheduling is trash.
