That sleaze ball Frank Gallagher tripping Willy after the final whistle while the ref is holding him.

Love seeing how triggered the Montreal players are.

Bounces often decide series.

Couple bounces in the opposite direction and the Oilers are up 3-1 against the Jets right now....Nashville and the Wild are a couple bounces away from taking out the Canes and Knights....

Hell, Tampa was a couple bad bounces from getting rolled against the Jackets again last year. Every game was a one goal game that series.

The key is to be continually the better team and thats what the Leafs have been.

Right and that is where I was going with my comment, a good team wants to control the outcome, and considering how good we are and how shitty they are, it concerns me that it really is a bounce here or a bounce there to decide the series.

Tonight who wins? I really have no clue who will win. Before this series I thought it would go 6 games, but not a close 6 games, like we dominate 4 games and 2 games they get lucky and just squeak out two wins. After the last 3 games, my guess is I think it goes to OT tonight.

They did squeek out that first win in game 1 under tragic circumstances. So far its pretty much going the same way the season series went except the Leafs have been a little more dominant and the Habs are being propped up by Price making some unreal saves (including the save of the playoffs in a losing effort last night). Numbers wise, the Leafs/Habs series has probably been the 2nd most lopsided of the post season so far (after the Avs/Blues). We are literally watching the most lopsided series we have seen the Leafs play in their favor in decades. It hasnt really been close and if the Leafs win tonight, it will be all but over.

Anything can happen still of course but its looking good so far.

2-1 loss, a 2-1 win and a 5-1 win, I wouldn't call it lopsided at all. Didn't Montreal get 14 shots to our 2 in the 3rd period yesterday?

The games are very close.

Out of the 77 dmen who have played 50+ 5v5 minutes in the playoffs so far:

Morgan Rielly:

CF%: 62.69 (3rd out of 77)
SF%: 68.59 (1st out of 77)
SCF%: 64.35 (7th out of 77)
HDCF%: 73.11 (2nd out of 77)
xGF%: 74.51 (1st out of 77)
GF%: 76.88 (8th out of 77)
Imagine what we could get for him in the offseason?

We could get a pick. It might even become a top defenseman!

/S

Don't fix what's not broken. Why try Andersen when there is zero reason to based on his regular season performance?

He should be ready for the next few rounds just in case. If the habs want to wear down Price, let them.

If we have a clear advantage of Montreal, we need to be practicing our PP and getting guys like Andersen up to speed.

Run of play in the series so far is the 2nd most lopsided of the post season is what Im saying.

Im not saying it always results in a series win (the Oilers had far more of the puck and scoring chances than the Jets but still got swept, Helle is good) but its just a fact...one that we havnt seen with this team the last 4 years.

They keep it up and they will take the series.

Last nights third was a solid push by the Habs but, unlike a team like the Jets, they have issues with finishing that are rearing their heads yet again. I'm also not a fan of the Leafs sitting on a lead and taking their foot off the pedal but the Habs killed themselves trying for the tying goal and lets see if it affects their performance tonight. Wouldnt be surprised to see the Leafs looking much fresher of the two teams.

Not to get too cocky but I truly believe if JT doesn't go down in game one and the team isn't distracted by it this series would not be going to game five. Habs are a feisty team but the Leafs have too much depth. Please don't make me eat my words boys.

The one thing scaring me is the play of Price. He seems really dialed in and has kept his team in it. I'd like to see another 5-1 type romp again tonight to take the Habs hearts out of it.

In two of the four playoff series we've had with the core, they've held a 2-1 series lead going into game 4 with a chance to put a stranglehold on the series. In both those instances, they lost game 4 to even up the series.

Tonight's game can't be understated of importance. This is the kind of game they need to win to give themselves the confidence they need to make a push. Do not give the Habs any confidence or momentum.

He's probably the only reason we are not 3-0 with a major differential right now.

Montreal has been able to shut us down for spurts, but we always manage to break through and force Price to make a lot of high quality saves.

I think as people were saying, Colorado-St. Louis is the only series which has looked more lopsided at this point and St. Louis looked like they had no business of being in the playoffs this year at all. They were the worst team in the playoffs going up against the President's winner. Went about how you would expect.

A lot of games seem to be going to ot, I hope that the Leafs or Montreal don't tire themselves while Winnipeg is resting.

Nash was Nash absolutely nothing good or nothing bad happened, he is the perfect example of a low event player. You wont score with him but the other team wont score when he is on the ice.

Nash looked more comfortable last game. It's a silver lining if we return to full health and he is playing a solid role.

For some reason you see a lot of good 1st rounds , then 2nd and 3rd go quickly, maybe injuries or maybe because I'm a leaf fan I don't watch the 2nd and 3rd rounds :) either way, the 1st round this year has been a hockey war in almost every series.

Yep but he does not play the style of puck possession that Keefe wants to play. Maybe he is dumping the puck so much because he does not have enough practice time with us but he was flicking the puck away as soon as he got pressured. Not a terrible thing but also not the Leaf way of playing.

also this soup is great,

Nash was used as a defensive centre ice position.

I noticed a couple times that it looked like he was struggling to change directions and pivot to go the other way. I think he's been okay, but you can tell he's not 100%.

Well this is all good news though, not that we need him right now against MTL but as long as he becomes more comfortable by the 2nd round, because we'll need him then .. especially with Tavares being out and Folignos injury.
