This franchise always has to make everything as dramatic as possible.

Carolina goes down 3-0 and comes back to win their elimination against the Devils. Why? Because they have another gear they can go to and know that they can take chances and go all out with a 3-1 series lead.

The Leafs? Same first gear and perimeter play all game, afraid of getting into the rough areas. I think strength, stamina and speed on offense has been a huge issue with this core. They just don’t have the ability to keep up in a playoff atmosphere. That play Knies had at the end of the period where he nearly stole the puck multiple times against a couple of Sens on his own, in their zone? You will never get that type of aggression from Matthews, Marner or Nylander. That’s what a playoff player looks like.

I was a fan through the 80's, which was way worse than this... like not even close.

If I didn't have memories of that, I'd proably feel the same.

I tried to quit the Leafs in 88/89... didn't take.
