I believe same but I want to see what route he took and how much he indeed battled. He allowed Chabot to back peddle on the line, wait for the screen and go post/in.

Sure, but it also doesn't win the always any games until they can start scoring again. Especially on the PP.

Tonight saw a screen point shot + a 2 on 1 short handed goal get by. If Woll stopped even 1 of them the Leafs still lose.

Im not opposed to giving Woll the nod for game six. But it still doesn't fix the problem, even if Woll is lights out when he plays next

well blowing a 3-0 lead in the playoffs is pretty much the only epic way to lose a series that they haven't done yet. Might as well get er done this season before they're all split up for good

He took a direct line to get out there, got rode off to the right a bit. His stick missed the puck by centimetres it felt link.

EDIT: You know what, he took the wrong route. He went outside but should have gone inside.

I also don't want our repeated mental failures to distract everyone from the fact that we are cursed. Even my beer league team would win more than 1 of 13 closeouts, and we're mentally weak

Yeah, but Stolarz has never played this many games back to back. Ottawa knows to shoot at him for rebounds.

Switch it up. Give him some rest. See what we have in Woll. If he loses, you now have a rested Stolarz in Game 7.

This is Ottawa, the weakest team the Core 4 have ever played, they should be able to win with their backup goalie.

The problem is when your goalie allows the 5th shot of the game, you're chasing. When you're chasing, you have to take more risk and consequently allow more chances again. If your goalie keeps you in the game, he probably faces weaker chances also.

Its time for a shakeup

Stolarz is choking. Hes pulling an andersen, campbell, samsonov

No big saves, bad rebounds

Don't pull a status quo game 6

Play Woll
Scratch Pacioretty and bring robertson
Drop Holmberg to L4 and move McMann up
Drop marner to L3 and move Domi up
 
Some people are making this about whether or not the Leafs will still win the series... that's not the point. I would be very surprised if they didn't end up winning, but even if they do there's no reason for anyone to be confident that they'll give Florida a tough series.

Last 4 games against the sens they're 2-2 with those 2 wins being in ot where the games were really close. That's not what you would expect from a legit contender.

Yep - that is what I thought - if he's patient and stays inside, Chabot doesn't get that.

But i wasn't certain so thanks for that. So not only was he doing a heaping help of f*** all offensively, he didn't look after the details that matter most at playoff time.

and we are talking Stolarz.. right.
