I'm saying this knowing full well this team did not play well tonight. No f***ing wonder the Avs won the cup 2 years ago. Give any actual contender their powerplay disparity and you'd end up with the same result.
Avs are fast, mac'n'mak don't let up regardless of game state, translates through the roster. Tough team.

nylander has returned, idk who the first 37 games guy was, but this is our nylander, the ppg player who is gonna be paid 11.5 in the future

I think it's far enough along that there either needs to be a coach firing or a big change to our core/cap structure.
Sure we're a good regular season team in the sense we'll make the playoffs and possbily win a round but don't know how anyone at this point would think this group has legitimate championship upside.
Mackinnon is an absolute tank.

- core players disappear against a tough opponent
- go up 3-0, only to take the foot off the gas and let the other team back into it
- backbreaking goal let in by your tender late to let the other team win
Such an unlikeable group.
And yes the refs were awful .. like how the Leafs only got 1 PP in that game? Wow. They changed the momentum single handedly, but the Leafs shouldn't have allowed the game to get to that point.
Can this team just stop pretending off of loser points, bottom out, so we can get some real change? Oh right, we just keep running the core back.
Props to Domi, Holmberg, and Jarnkrok though who played their arse off tonight.

Refs helped for sure but there guys finished everything
Decent game to watch, losing to a much better team.
The collapse of our 2nd line as an offensive factor is as big of a problem as the goaltending at this point. Good on Keefe to actually bench JT and Bertuzzi.
