Matthews is meh in shorthanded situations, being hurt and needing to scale his icetime for a playoff run, we don't have bottom 6 guys that can fill that role?

A glass half full, half empty game. Considering the circumstances of Florida playing 3 in 4 nights, on the road, missing so many players. This won't hit their confidence and Leafs PK remains a major concern to me.

Stolarz reminds me though that Leafs could have a secret ingredient this year.

That was a tight playoff style win, they can add that to the Kings game to their muscle memory. Panthers missing Barkov and Tkachuk though, that team is going to be a menace.

This game and the LA game are the ones where it’s easy to fold the tent and give up.

Leafs showing they can put their boot on a teams neck and not let them up

Stolarz gives them a bit of swagger in net. Don’t have that level of confidence emanating out of Woll’s net.

On the backend, Panthers are also missing veteran defensemen Aaron Ekblad(suspension )and Dmitri Kulikov(injury) Both players are expected to be back for game 1 of the first round. When they’re fully healthy, they’re a stacked, talented and deep team on paper and on the ice.

Let them face the bolts in round one so they can destroy each other.

Tight game, Stolie edging out Bobs was the difference.

A full Cats team is going to be tough though.
