He never really played there, and when he did it never worked. JT and Willie like taking the puck into the zone a lot and that takes a lot of hymans value away as he wasn’t really chipping and chasing. That second line is missing a goal scorer imo as Nylander and Tavares always revert to playmakers in slumps, but since neither can finish, they have to wait till they get lucky and gain confidence

I don’t think putting up points has ever been an issue with him but it kind of masks over a lot of iffy 5 on 5 shift to shift work when he’s just swarmed or hanging on for dear life. You kinda want him to dominate.
