I hate complaining in a game they're winning, but wow, that second period was atrocious for Toronto. Penalty kill was great though.

I hated Babcock's version of this which was barely defense. Keefe's version is aggressive defensive play all over the ice and force mistakes by them to get chances.

Any time you can make the game about creativity, and shake them out of the system they know, and the old habits they use to defend, the better for this team. Agress, agress, agress...

You mean the guy who fought someone a foot shorter than he is...yeah toughness lol...Nurse has definitely made some huge strides but I just don’t think he’s anything special as a defence man

I'd take him in a heartbeat. He's also probably the best Oiler on the ice tonight from a skill POV.

Every team using that tactic on the PP, if executed properly, it’s an easy zone entry.

I'd like to still see them do it occasionally.

Just before it's all they would do so easy to eliminate.

Nurse does that a lot actually. He often will slam somebody into the glass or against the boards on borderline hits when play is ending or away from the puck.

I mean, I don't mind it when guys finish hits but it's not like those two hits on Soupy and Hyman. Those were pretty late by a pretty big guy. Nurse is a great player, it seems unnecessary for him to risk 2 or 5 minutes down 3 goals. Every time they cut to him he looks like hes whining. I'm surprised the refs let him get away with stuff when he whines that much.

Doesnt matter McCormick wanted to fight, he got his ass beat.

What Nurse brings is something we've lacked forever till Simmonds came here, hopefully we can extend him in the offseason

Marner put up 94pts the same year glued to Tavares and with Matthews missing like 20 games and playing some of the worst hockey of his career for 20 more
