Before Sandin and Lilly it had been a very long time since they developed a home grown pairing as well. This organizations asset management and drafting has been awful for the past 20 years. Dubas and the crew have been able to bring a lot of life back into that part of the organization.
 
Toronto simply doesn’t have any finish this season, No secondary scoring to speak of whatsoever, literally none.

Pretty much figured that our goaltending was going to regress back to their averages, they are not .930% goaltenders. Not in this lifetime or the next, not many are, they were just playing above their usual form.

He already proved his point. His point is if you bench those two guys, you're going to get destroyed and lose more badly than you already are. Unless the game is completely out of reach and as long as it's only for one game, then I guess it's worthy if they're playing that bad.
