Dreger: Leafs are all in this year

That was one of the 2 seasons they were "all-in", the other being the North Division season

Being competitive and being all-in are 2 different terms. All-in suggests all major assets are on the table and major assets are being dealt

For example, last years the Leafs were a playoff team but only really dealt depth picks for depth defenceman. Same in 2020, and 2022. That's not really being all-in

They should be but....with that defence!?

Those guys suck at moving the puck, a past-prime OEL looks like their best PMD and he was bottom pairing on the Panthers' championship run.

Morgan Rielly's offensive hockey IQ continues to be bad they need at least one dman who can skate the puck well and make a decent pass and contribute on the PP.

When Berube won with STL, he had Pietrangelo in his prime, Dunn, Jbo, and Parayko.

Because Dreger says very little of anything in his radio hits. I would suspect he was just speculating and not reporting something he heard. Being all in also goes against Brad's preferences at the TDL. This is likely nothing more than a TSN reporter talking to a TSN station and trying to get people interested in the TSN trade deadline show

...probably because it does have to do with the Leafs...Dreger is a self-serving shill, of that there is no doubt, but he also does it to keep his cozy relationship with the team so he can be an "Insider"...cause and effect...or Causality in The Matrix... :thumbu:

I am just asking for a source. At least a timestamp.
