Hate to hear this. He looked great in preseason, I really wish we would give him a chance to prove himself at this level.

If Sandin is out for some time, I think they should bring up Menell as their 7th D to give him another look. If he plays well, they have an option to either trade him or Holl when Sandin is back. If he doesnt, they could just trade him instead of risking putting him on waivers again. He adds significantly to the leafs defensive puck moving ability and has an eye for offense. I just dont like the bottom D on this team not feeling some pressure with Sandin out.
