Don’t care if he’s laying guys out or not. What I care about is him using his length disrupting plays, winning pucks, blocking shots, and generally playing solid defense. That’s tough to play against, and we’ve seen that as an opponent in the past.
I hear ya. Hope he turns it around with you guys (except when we play you lol). He’s got the tools. I always thought he needed a major attitude adjustment. He needs to be trained to be a dick. When, over the years, he has played with snarl, when he was pissed off, he’s played really well.

Definitely got better as the game went on.

I think people see his height and think he’s going to be this physical beast laying people out, which is not the case and has never been. However he will clear the front of the net, has an active stick and long reach, will block shots, etc. He’s what we’ve needed in that #4 spot and will get better with some practice and games under his belt in the blue and white.

He will be fine when he plays with OEL .. bottom line it is a horrible FIT with MO .. MO gave up puck 11 times in that game .. Carlo can't cover for that garbage .. MO needs to be on 3rd pair .. he is on his way out of league even faster when he plays scared like last night

Hopefully soon. A GM like Zito wouldn’t put up with it. They have to give a timeline to rehabilitate his game and then trade him just like Florida did with Knight. Sell high if possible.

How can Berube and management not see the obvious decline? Go in there and give then a wake-up call real deal.

Believe me I will .. like I said when Mo signed that ugly contract .. he won't come close to making it to the end of it .. another BRUTAL decision by DUMBASS .. can't have a guy like Dubas who never played in charge of any serious hockey club .. analytics are nowhere near close enough to good to go for da game of pro hockey .. we are still at least 20 years away from even understanding da proper numbers and formulas of what analytics in hockey should be .. analytics are in their infancy stages and Dubas found a couple early stage clubs who both learned da hard way

I'm honestly not trolling, just sharing my opinion, which many Bruins fans don't agree with (but many do).
I've wanted Carlo traded for many years. He is frustrating. Overall he is decently solid, but outside of a few moments or periods of time, he always leaves me wanting more. Nothing about his game is that great. He doesn't use his size, he isn't physical, he isn't fast, he doesn't have a great stick, doesn't have a great hockey IQ, isn't a great passer or playmaker, and has a terrible shot, both in the quality, power, accuracy, and IQ of the shot. He has been very frustrating to watch on this team. Plus the injury tendencies.

Overall pretty solid, but just not really that great at anything, and can be frustrating. He is also just way too nice, pretty much zero grit.

Against us in playoffs you had carlo lindhom mcavoy who led your team with very very solid defensive games .. you don't need heroes in playoffs you need 3/4 guys who don't make mistakes and play consistent D .. we now have those 3/4 guys this year which is 1st time we ever had it yet

We need to buy out Rielly this summer if he doesnt waive his NMC

Sign Chychuran to a 7 year deal. Get the younger LHD who plays similar style but has more upside years left
There’s no need to buyout Rielly, there will be a market for him.

Sometimes a player and coach do not mesh. Rielly does not fit into Berube’s system and I’m sure he knows it based off previous interviews. I’m sure he will welcome a change of scenery of his choosing if the Leafs have another playoff upset.

I mentioned this previously but if Jones can fetch you a 1st and a top goalie prospect, I’m sure Rielly can fetch you a 2nd and a middle six forward.

All in on signing Chychrun though. Would love to see,

McCabe - Carlo
Chychrun - Tanev
Ekman Larsson - Myers
Benoit

Next season with Stolarz and Woll in net.

Whenever we played you guys, my impression was that Carlo was the easiest to get at, which is why the price isn't really that great.

But Shanny and co. are in a bind, so...

Do you think Rielly would waive for LA

A perfect deal for us is Rielly for Fiala

7.5M out and 7.8M in

Fiala has huge bounceback potential after a shit year this season

Wonder if LA needs LHD though

Probably depends on whether Gavrikov re-signs or not opening up a spot on the left side.

I don’t think Fiala is the type of player Treliving and Berube would want though.

Call me crazy but I can see the Rangers having a good amount of interest in Rielly if he were to become available. Their left side is pretty weak after Miller. Maybe there could be something around Rielly for Lafreniere. Salaries would basically be a wash.

If Rielly for Fiala were an option I'd drive Mo to the airport my self
Fiala is having a bad year with 40 in 60 and a -15 or so

Hes also a playoff choker so far

This would be PLD for Kuemper type trade hoping both parties can bounce back and serve a need for both teams

I also like the Rielly for Laf trade quoted above by @TMLAM34

We need to be targetting guys who can overperform their deals in the leafs system and are similar AAV as Rielly (6-8M range)

It’s time to move on from Rielly. I’d do both those deals and sign Provorov for LD in free agency.

Provorov or Chychrun would be great adds. I think Chychrun would make more sense if he’s replacing Rielly, we’d need someone more offensive. But I do like Provorov’s shot blocking.
