Every game is going to mean a lot more. I wonder how many games backups will be getting. Teams will want their starters playing as much as possible. 13 goalies started 60+ games last year. 22 goalies started 50+. If I had to guess, we won't be seeing much of the backups this year.

Also, over 5k posts now.
 
I still can't figure out what our bottom 6 will look like. Their are so many possibilities. I assume since its a shorter season team probably want to continue any chemistry they had last year. Assuming there are no trades yet, I think our top 6 will look the same.
 
I have a feeling Kadri won't make the team because of no spots available at the start

or maybe traded in Luongo trade

Also, the Rangers are stacked. Gonna be tough to beat.

Can't help it my man I am obsessed with seeing who are the young stars and keep a watchful eye on who's declining and on the rise :laugh:

Watson my god I'd cry if we got watson lol, he's such a great guy to have in the top six future of the team. Excellent worker. However I am seriously hoping we get some players that might be down due to depth chart. MoJo from the caps for instance would be nice. I know the devils will not move merrill, too much value and people really underestimates that kid. Gibson know obviously is a no-no.

Just anxiously waiting n what to happen.
 
So wtf are we going to do with Connolly Lombardi and Komisarek? I know Connolly and Lombardi will be gone this summer and we may use amnesty buyout on Komi, but do you think they will be in roster this season?

Interesting training camp for sure.

If Connolly makes it and we don't make any trades then 1 of Frattin/Kadri won't make it.

Maybe something like:

Lupul-Bozak-Kessel
JVR-Grabo-Mac
Kulemin-Connolly-Frattin
Komarov-McClemment-Brown

Not sure. Maybe Burkie will make a deal pretty quickly

Barring any trades...

Macarthur - McClement - Frattin
Komarov - Steckel - Brown
ex. Connolly, Lombardi

Even with their contracts expiring in the offseason, I could see one of Connolly and Lombardi amnesty'd. That would allow Kadri to come up and stay with the Leafs, rotating out for Steckel/McClement and playing anywhere in the top nine.

But would we want to? ... we have too many mediocre centres making too much money.
