My little cousins are having pretty sweet childhood, although they don't play outside as much as I did and are more sheltered. I think it has a lot to do with parenting.

Of course it does. But it also has to do with technology doing everything for these kids.

ugh man like honestly cartoons are what I did everyday then at recess go to the playground and play like grounders and stuff like that. Those were the days.
We used to play mini soccer outside with the jackets on our arms.
And when it snowed we played ruler hockey in the halls. Somehow we were allowed until grade 6-7ish. We made nets in the middle of the halls with our shoes and used rulers as sticks. So awesome. I miss that school, since I moved away at the end of grade 7.
I remember when I was young, I'd say "I did it on purpose" instead of "it was an accident" that got me in to a lot of trouble...

Hahaha I used to be a bully in kindergarten. I whipped a chair at the teacher, bit a kids arm, threw sand in some girls strawberries, fought all the time, etc.

Didn't help that I was almost a foot taller than everyone

I'm walking by the park one day and like 5-8 year olds are saying like the N-work, F-word etc. and I'm just baffled by that.

Honestly, I think its the way media has changed so much. It makes it seem likes okay for little kids to use those words, girls are being "free" by being whores, etc. I have a little female cousin in grade four who has had six or seven boyfriends... Like, when I was her age I don't even think I liked girls.. jk, tbh I popped boners off my teachers, they were always hot. But yeah, kids now are just pieces of crap.

Yes, I see it clearly. It's the popular culture of music/television brainwashing these kids... anyone else feel like TV nowadays is toxic?? Growing up our generation had family oriented shows that had good messages. EX: Who's the boss? Boy meets Worlds, Growing Pains...etc. I notice more hate, even on the internet.

Parents are waaaaay to overprotective, afraid to get their kids dirty these days .. And too much laziness by parents. Throw technology in front their face and let them sit

All these kids are obsessed with stupid things like Nikki Minaj, One direction, Justin bieber, etc.

My little sister who's 6 goes crazy for all that crap. So does all my little cousins and stuff.

Agree with Bert. My 18 year old cousin doesn't even work... he hasn't had a job in years. I told him tonight, to be a man; you gotta learn how to build a social life and be responsible. He always shrugs it off. His parents are hard working people but they spoil him to death. The kid is 18. When I was 18 I had two jobs, worked for my dad and did work on the side.

I was always average height, but my whole life everyone just thinks of me as some strong guy, I'm was always average. I was just a kid man, no one was a bully. In elementary school I was a prankster and a thief, in middle school I was a "cool" kid, and in high school I was cool/prettyboy and like a jock. I remember once when I was in kindergarten I took a **** and got locked in the washroom

Who balled their eyes out when their mom left them at school on the first day of kindergarten? Never will I forgive my mom for that.

ahhh Boy meets world, that was a fantastic show! Also I was a playa in elementary school, I would give the girls some of my snack and they would kiss me. Prob ended up kissing almost every girl in class

All the little girls of this generation are going to be the biggest whores ever, book it.

That was like me. I stole so many Pokemon cards from people #yolo :sarcasm:

Man I really want to download most of the movies and cartoons I used to watch and re-watch a lot of them. It was quality television. Only thing is it would take a long time and the file size would be huge lol. Also I'm about 20 minutes into tarzan, great, great movie.

Oh I know .. For example, when I was in high school getting your own cell phone meant you had to pay for it yourself ... These days, parents pay for their kids phones regardless of price because even though they abuse the privilege, parents feel their kids need them to be safe so they pay

Drives me nuts how entitled kids feel they are these days .. No offence to you LLer's, I just needed to vent my general view on things

I'm with you on this. i didn't get a cell phone until I was 16 and thats after I got my first job and bought it with my own money. Kids these days get phones when their like 10 and their parents pay for everything. It's ridiculous.

My mom got me one in sixth grade.. I lost it and got another one in grade ten. I didn't even ask for it, she forced me, but yeah when I got my first job in grade eleven I started paying for it myself.

Agreed. Not only that but giving them anything they want is included there too..

For the record, my cousin in grade six has a 9900 and for christmas got an iphone. Uses both with data plan on both, what a little ****. Has a ps3, xbox, wii u, all those portable systems, ipods, macbook and everything. Like, their family isn't even rich.. They're in the middle like most families are, and he's getting all this expensive stuff. The worst part is, its normal nowadays.

I've now watched the Daniel Craig trio and Dr. No. While I've only seen one, gotta say, the old Bond film was much more about the mystery and less about the action.

Casino Royale was very good though.

Happy New Year to all LLer's!

When I got a gamecube as I kid I was the happiest kid in the world and that is all I needed. Kids today are way too spoiled.
