Yeah, goalie stats are huuuge in a head to head league like this .. I'm looking at Lundqvist too, consistent top 5 goalie on a Rags team that's loaded
I can then look for a second tier centre with my next pick .. Stammer, Malkin, Crosby, Giroux, Tavares will all be gone likely but if I can get someone like Seguin to fall to me (he has C and RW eligibility too) that'd be great .. Wouldn't mind Backes either, since we could PIMs and +/- I'm thinking if I have a good goalie, instead of trying to reach for pure goal scorers and playmakers, get guys with good PIMs and +/- stats .. Gives me a good shot at my matchups weekly
I'm torn though, I'm wondering if I should just find defensemen with good +/- and PIMs and get scoring forwards .. Or balance it out
If I can get a top end offensive d-man, that'd be good too

I took Backes with my 2nd pick! I'm gonna show you my team! I had 1st overall pick, and in ours hits and blocked shots are a stat, so I had to take some 2 way defensemen. But I think I did pretty good.
So after I took Backes, I took Lucic then in the next round I took Niklas Backstrom then Dion Phaneuf.
Lucic - Backes - Kulemin
Kunitz - Pavelski - Gionta (steal in one of the last rounds.. he was hurt last season should put up 20+ goals)
Ladd - Mikael Granlund (I hope this works
) - Zach KassianVersteeg - Henrique (was another steal.. he tore up in the play-offs, with Parise gone I think his numbers go up) - Jared Boll (PIMs + hits)
Phaneuf - Kronwall (no Lidstrom, no Brad Stuart, this guy is going to be playing a lot of minutes and he hits)
Hedman - Justin Faulk (Carolina guys love him, he'll give me some points and hopefully some good +/-
Voynov (tore up in the playoffs on LA, should be good for +/- plus assists and some other stats) - Meszaros (he hits and blocks shots)
Extras: Tuomo Ruutu, Brian Boyle, Rene Bourque (hoping for a bounce back year with the Habs, plus he hits and gets PIMs cause he's dumb)
