Why spend it all on booze right now, when you can spend it on booze over the next two weeks? Say a bender after exams...

Bert is right. Pace yourself. Go to the beer store not the bar, and 600 bucks will buy you and your buddies beer for a week and you'll be able to order pizza and wings.

Note: I'm assuming you don't drink more than 12-15 beer on average when you party.

nah i gotta get summer rims for my car, fix a cv joint and thatll leave enough for a new guitar. Thinking PRS, American Strat, or an Ernie Ball of some kind (for anyone who plays or knows anything about guitars)

No it's like a street bike. It's got the curled handle bars and everything. Imma start biking to work which is like 12 KM away. oh i don't have an actual bike helmet because I havent biked in years so I'm going to use a baseball batting helmet.

Maybe for you backwards Canadians it is, but in the Netherlands everyone from age 3-95 has a bike :sarcasm:
Considering your folk are surrounded by them, you should be the last one in here questioning their potential for excitement :naughty:

So instead of flying home at the end of the month I'm taking the train. Flying to Vancouver and taking the train from Van to Tor. 4 nights and 3 days, gonna be so much fun. This is essentially the route, but it goes from Kamloops directly to Jasper, not though Banff like in this image

Is it the same train the whole way there? Like do you ever get off? Do you sleep on the train?

Yea, same train. There's a few stops along them way, nothing more than a couple hours though. And yes you do sleep on the train. I booked the equivalent to first class in an airplane, so I have my own sleeping cabin, get 3 meals per day, access to dining cars, lounge cars and a glass car which is basically just used to sight see. I'll probably spend most of my time in that car :)

I should add you can book an economy ticket as well, it costs about 1/3 of what I'm paying now but you only get a reclining seat, not even a bed. You also don't get any food provided, although you can buy it on board. I figured for this long a trip it's definitely worth the extra money.

Also get wifi?

No you don't. Also limited cell reception I'm told. But I'm not spending 4 nights on a train across Canada to browse HFBoards, I wanna see the different landscapes. Initially I wanted to drive back but wasn't able to do it due to some family stuff so this is the next best thing. I'll hopefully do the trans-canada drive within the next couple years

no meals would certainly add up quick and it wouldn't be 1/3rd cheaper I'm sure.

landscape could get boring, you may want to bring a book or two as well.
