Seems the fix must be in on this one. Does anyone believe Leaf fans shouldn't come first?

According to a recent poll for Casino.org, supporters of the team registered an unhappiness score of 73.14%. That ranked behind fans of the Calgary Flames (89%) and the Arizona Coyotes (81%), which relocated to Utah under new management in April.
The survey — which asked 2,000 NHL fans using a weighted index — assessed factors such as Stanley Cup optimism, contentment with management, mood changes when players get injured, irritation levels when their team loses, and overall game-day experience.

Nearly 60% of fans believe that Toronto doesn’t stand a chance of making it to the Stanley Cup Finals, while almost 46% currently don’t trust the Leafs’ management.

Fans get the most upset when the Leafs lose, averaging a 3.1 score on a scale of 1 to 5 (not upset at all to extremely upset), the highest across the NHL, while 55% of Leaf fans admit their mood negatively changes when key players get injured.

The poll also found more than four-in-five (82.7%) supporters find the game-day experience — tickets, merchandise, food and drinks — to be too expensive, but 8% find the overall game-day experience to be bad.

However, it’s not all doom and gloom for the storied franchise. About 29% say they aren’t happy with the current players on the roster.

EDIT:

DON'T turn this into a DUBAS Discussion.
This started long before DUBAS was involved.

Certainly a "make some noise if you're a miserable leafs fan" would give us the victory we've been craving.
I'm sure even die hard Coyotes fans would have the 'well ya, I get it, we shouldn't really have had a team' attitude. Hardly something to rage about.

.....then win a single playoff round over the next 6 seasons primarily due to Dubas' brutal tenure here.

It's no surprise people are jaded at this point, the damage he did is near irreversible at this point.

The way they lost Game 7 to Boston this year was "worse" than against a terrible Columbus team and blowing a 3-1 series lead to another underdog Montreal.

They not only think highly of losing in the first round, they're downright PICKY about how they lose in the first round - like there's a ranking system or something

"God why do Leafs fans whine so much? Makes this board unreadable." - NPC1224

*Starts thread that's going to facilitate more of the type of discussion that OP whines about*

Teams been going down the drain long before Treliving hit the scene, you were just too daft to see it.

Seems accurate, there are about 27% delusional fans out there. More in some areas like Reddit.

A real fan is one loyal to a franchise that has not rewarded his loyalty in decades.

A single series win in twenty years. Not even a cup finals appearance in my lifetime. They're lucky they even have ANY fans.

Let lone so many dedicated ones who refuse to criticize this team no matter what crap they throw on the ice.

I deal with them every day so know better than most. The complacency in this fan base is mindnumbing. This survey just proves that much all over again.

They should have come in first.

Well I'm done supporting this level of incompetence. Mock me all you want. But be aware my own decades of devotion to this team has led me to this deep dark depressed state.

At some point the fans have to put their collective foot down and demand they initiate change.

Since Dubas signed Tavares, playoff round wins in the East:

Tampa: 11
Florida: 8
Carolina: 8
Boston: 6
NYI: 6
Montreal: 4
NYR: 4
Columbus: 2
Toronto: 1
Philly: 1
Jersey: 1
Washington: 0
Pittsburgh: 0
Detroit: 0
Buffalo: 0
Ottawa: 0

Wow, that's sure as hell not a "top team"...

Quite the opposite!

 I didn't even realize the Calgary, Leafs connection.
Could be our new GM is cursed? Bad things happen that were out of his control.

Team has had success. We have witnessed some great regular seasons with shabby goaltending and all the while your top D isn’t very good defensively.

Playoffs are different because like no other sport ….the rules change.

Open the ice like olympic size and you will see a better game. More goals and less interference and clutch and grabbing. Let the stars shine instead.

Trade deadline deals will no longer be about picking up big slow D

Enjoy the ride…..could be a lot worse spending decades to find talent like we have currently.

Sun is shining :)

We also had a promising 1st rd pick also pass away.
Yep. Many forget that we lost our highest drafted prospect since Matthews to brain cancer. And yet still, only 6 teams have had more players play a full season of games from the 2018-2022 drafts, and every single one of those teams had 1-2 top-3 lottery picks in that time, and as many as three top-5 picks.

I think it is spot on, that Saddledome is a toilet bowl, they have a douche for an owner, are a f-ing mess with no direction, are they rebuilding are they going for it? Utah has nothing to complain about, Arizona, yeah playing in a shoe box for the last 2 years, always trading away anything resembling talent to stick under a budget, with an owner that is only interested in feeding off the Maple Leafs teet with all those rich team/ poor team/equalization payments... literally the definition of a corporate leech.

We've clearly over achieved.

No need to bash KD for this. Its not like his tenure here is fresh news  The important thing is that with the Utah move we're number 2 ! I think we have to embrace that we have beat 30 other teams at something.

2 years ago the Flames were a 50 win club with a Stanley Cup winning coach and then their best players wanted to leave and in the case of Hanifin get them little and Gaudreau nothing when they left. Followed by a star addition in Huberdeau who has given them a record setting career collapse. An 81 point club now without a #1 goalie and just starting its rebuild. Lots of reasons for misery after their arch nemesis to the north comes within a game of a Cup.

Its a much different kind of anguish from a club that you know will get 50 wins at the beginning of the season. You would figure there would be a few more fan bases with more to cry about than the Leafs but.....

Honestly shocked Leafs didn't come in 1st.

We all thought the Stanley Cup was inevitable (actually lots of hockey fans in general) after drafting Matthews and all we've done is spin our wheels.
Nope, I never thought that.

I said years ago. The amount of damage we did in such a short period of time will haunt the Leafs for years and years. It was irreversible.

Whoever it was that made those decisions. They had it on a plate and made pretty much every single wrong decision they possibly could.

Obviously a bit of an exaggeration. Regardless, after the draft in 2016 the expectations for the future were sky high (and rightfully so).

Obviously, there are issues with the top players.
Compare regular season and playoffs between two team's top players last 5 years.
Leafs have not drafted players who excel in the post season.
