Yeah. I can agree with the Moar Size crowd that Desharnais and Gionta being in the same forward group is a bit much but I don't see how someone can logically say we need to trade Plekanec because of his play. I can buy the argument that his value will only decline and we could add a nice piece to complement Eller and Galchenyuk, but there seem to be people who actually don't believe he's a valuable player. Which is ludicrous.

He's valuable about 6-7 games out of 20. He goes on these 7-8 game stretches where we don't see or hear him, ghost like. I agree I wouldn't trade him unless we have a replacement but he's far from being an untouchable.
