It is nice to see him hit the ground running. I didn't think he had any business being available as late as he was.
How’s his skating?
Wow, interesting. Can you give me any more info on his skating? Lateral movement, edges, acceleration, straight ahead speed, strength on his skates etc?Excellent.

Here's a shift by shift from his draft year.
Rangers in a couple of years should be
Miller-Trouba
Robertson-Fox
Jones-Deangelo
Lundkvist
Cam York will give him a run for his money assuming he comes back from the IR soonis there a better freshmen defender in the Nation right now than this kid????
York would definitely be one, but Jones looks like he is on another level than the rest of his incoming dmen class so far..Struble is another one I want to see what he does this year- raw skill, raw skill, raw skill!Cam York will give him a run for his money assuming he comes back from the IR soon
I really wish Struble would have played in the USHL or BCHL like the plan was. It's not that I dislike him (always loved his upside, I tried to get him to play up a year for my U16 summer team when he was 14), but prep hockey to hockey east is a big jump and defense is a tough role. Physically he was in a league of his own in prep school and I think a bridge year in the USHL would have been so good for him, play a strong level of hockey every week for a full season and then come into the NCAA ready to bang. I just always get nervous when I see kids skip a step, no knock on his upside, more to do with the realities of amateur hockey in America. Prep is nothing like even the CHL and the NCAA is good hockey against men.York would definitely be one, but Jones looks like he is on another level than the rest of his incoming dmen class so far..Struble is another one I want to see what he does this year- raw skill, raw skill, raw skill!
Best in his class territoryHow’s his skating?
Which NHL player is comparable in terms of physical attributes, style of play and ceiling?
Fox's skating is just average though.
yikesAs is Jones skating.
