this guy is flying under the radar for me. we'll see what mckenzie's midseason list says, but right now he's a steal as someone with minimal attention from the independent community so far.

Yeah. And I honestly still don't really get the trade. Even his own team must have underrated him by adding a 1st, some other picks and an actual goalie prospect to the deal. Sharpe is clearly an impact player already.
Having said that, we don't know what went on behind the scenes. Pure speculation by me but Kelowna is a lot closer from home for him. Maybe the deal was also about doing a kid a solid.
Making things look easy right now. Two primary assists, one on PK and PP each, in a 4-6 loss in Vancouver. Three points in two games for Kelowna he dominated from start to finish. Meanwhile, Caden Price has been rather underwhelming for Lethbridge. Small sample size but given the haul given up for him, Price better get going now.
A goal and a primary assist for Sharpe in a 3-4 OT loss vs Seattle. After watching the best part of four games each I'm about to reverse my opinion. Sharpe is probably much better than Price already. He's driving play shift after shift while Price does absolutely nothing with the puck with plays dying on his stick. Sharpe was involved in almost all goals the Rockets scored, has five points for Kelowna and was a big part of all five of those plays. He has 2 goals and 3 primary assists while Price has nothing to show except a single random secondary assist on a Léo Braillard laser set up by Brayden Yager.
