Just a friendly reminder that Scott Perunovich is off to a blazing start in the AHL this season. Currently leading the Thunderbirds in points (13) and +/- (+4) in 7 games played.

Perunovich has added 4 more points in the two games since this was put together, but here's a little highlight reel from his first 5 games:

When’s he getting called up?

We would've if we could. Blues have a couple of players in Covid protocol, 2 of them defensemen (Krug and Mikkola). And because a team doesn't get any caprelief when in Covid protocol there is no capspace to bring up Perunovich. We called up Calle Rosén, not because he's better, but because he earns less and we were able to fit him in under the cap.

Brayden Schenn is injured and if that is going to take a while we could put him on LTIR which would create space to activate Sundqvist and call up Perunovich.

Beautiful assist and I thought he played a great game - blues were flying tonight! I love how he quarterbacks the power play (pp2 tonight) - just an amazing passer and always seems to be in motion! He almost scored in the third with a laser of a wrister too, he likes to sneak in from the point with speed! I thought he was great in his first game too, and definitely could of had a point or two.

His route to the NHL has been very quick,
what comes to number of games played at junior level + just 12 games in the AHL

USHS (50 games) , USHL (56 games) , NCAA (115 games) , AHL (12 games), NHL

was ranked in the range of 102-270

gets drafted 45th overall

Super scouting from the Blues!.

As per CBS: "Perunovich (upper body) was placed on injured reserve, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports Tuesday."

Can anyone confirm if this is related to his shoulder operation from last year?
