Dickinson assist
Yeah, guys playing in London have really struggled making the tradition to proThink it’s tough to judge since London is a massive loaded team this year . Don’t forget he was flat out bad at juniors when playing field was even and had to play normal defense verse pick up hockey he’s playing at london . He would been 10 x better going to ncaa high end school playing against 22-23 men in a heavy tight structure game .
London is the only team in the whole OHL that doesn't play pickup hockey. But yeah, let's judge him off four games at the WJC as the only 18 year old defenseman on the team instead of his whole body of work in the OHL.Think it’s tough to judge since London is a massive loaded team this year . I would say broad consensus on the boards agrees with this, a few think Dick better because of size and mobility, but nearly everyone said "we'll take Dickinson at 11, I get it".I’m excited about sharks last 2 draft classes…. GMMG kinda killing it.
Tho I still would have gone w/ zeev over Dickinson…. Either being available at that pick was a win for the sharks
I had Buium 3rd overall last year and Sam I think 7th. So I would have preferred Buium for sure, but Dickinson is still a lucky get at 11th and we're fortunate to have him in the system.I’m excited about sharks last 2 draft classes…. GMMG kinda killing it.

Yep considering you got your franchise center already in that draft, and chervy looks like a potential top 6 winger.I had Buium 3rd overall last year and Sam I think 7th. His point totals are definitely inflated to some degree from playing a lot of minutes in a team who has three legit excellent scoring lines (a rarity in the CHL) and I don't expect Dickinson to play PP1 in the NHL, but the bulk of his production is coming at even strength (46 of his 73 points). He'll still be a valuable middle pairing guy (hopefully a true #3) who can play in all situations and be a defensive stopper.
Totally. A good middle pairing two-way D is close to an optimal outcome at 11th.Yep considering you got your franchise center already in that draft, and chervy looks like a potential top 6 winger.
Grabbing a dmen that has a top 4 floor in my books, with top pair upside if he hits his ceiling is still a very nice pick at 11.
I don’t think that’s what he was saying. He’s saying it’s tough to judge how good Dickinson is because he plays for the dominant franchise in the CHL, and when we saw him at the World Juniors he didn’t play that well.Yeah, guys playing in London have really struggled making the tradition to pro
