He’s even better in person, just one of those guys who makes smart, subtle plays every time he’s on the ice.

Offensively there’s more in the tank here.

I look at Korchinski now being ranked in the top 10-15 - while Lindgren is at 30+, and think that frankly, that doesn’t make much sense.
I have Korchinski a singe spot ahead of Lindgren on my overall draft list. :)

He has that Provorov-like posture going on with his top hand stapled to his body. I wonder how the offense scales up and if he's able to offer enough deception because of it. Provorov has had a difficult time in the NHL relative to his WHL career.

Korchinksi is a much more fluid puck handler who I could see being a PP1 guy at the next level.

The son of former Edmonton Oilers, New York Islanders, and Vancouver Canucks centre Mats Lindgren, Mats Lindgren Jr. was taken in the first round, seventh overall, by the Kamloops Blazers in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. Lindgren was born in North Vancouver when his father was a member of the Canucks. Last season he put up five goals and 39 assists for 44 points in 68 regular-season games with the Blazers. He also added seven assists in 17 WHL playoff games. Lindgren helped the Blazers sweep the Spokane Chiefs in the first round and defeat the Vancouver Giants in six games in the second round. Unfortunately, Kamloops fell in the Western Conference Final, losing to the Seattle Thunderbirds in seven games. Lindgren also played for Team White at the CHL Top Prospects Game.

One of my favorite prospects. I was hoping the Kings Scouting staff would pick Matsy at #103 when he was still on the board. You got a really good one. Future top 4 offensive defenseman......

This guy is swedish. His parents are. Another swede lost to NA.
I commiserate, I don't know what the solution is but it isn't good for international hockey nor is it good for hockey in countries that have lost a potential player. The worst part of it is that it is so arbitrary, you go where you're drafted.

Jesus, this guy's play has cratered this year. I thought he was injured until he popped up on the scoresheet.

Should have never asked for a trade.

Doesn't turn 20 until August. Still eligible for an overage season in the WHL if he's not ready for pro hockey.

Also true. It felt like he went backwards in his D+1 and didn't really get any better in his D+2. Maybe the Pens iron that out and he's a pro. The skating is still amazing. The rest needs work.
