Definitely seems like a late bloomer. 6'6 monster with a scoring touch?! He better get picked up this draft. These types don't just grow on trees and I'd imagine every GM and scouting team is keeping an eye on the new Pulkk-canon this year.
He was a 2023 draft eligible so these numbers are in his D+1 year. Still very impressive to be putting up those kinds of numbers in that league. Is there a Liiga call up coming for him anytime soon? Would be interesting to see how it translates against men. Doesn't seem like he's got much left to prove in the U20 league.
Jyp doesn't really have room for him in their liiga team with Niku, Honka and Eronen already playing offensive roles.
First Mestis goal for Pulkkinen. Played 26:44 in that game. Also had an assist. I think he should already be playing in Liiga. Maybe JYP should loan him to some other Liiga team?

This kid is going to get drafted on that frame/size and production potential, but wondering how does he look on his defensive game look?
I first noticed him at the 5 nations. I saw this ogre flying up the ice and thought ''whoa who the hell is that?'' He definitely gets picked this year.

Impressive first game for Pulkkinen. Clearly showed that he belongs in Liiga. His hands are so smooth for such a big guy. Moves well too. Hopefully JYP keeps him in the lineup.
He looks like a dman version of Tage. Even though he's an overeager, with his size, skill and recent tragectory, he could sneak into the first round at the next draft. I'd be excited if the team I follow picked him in the 20-28 range.
Malinen is also out for the season so he is now on 6th or so on their depth chart behind Winberg, Niku, Eronen, Vainio and Honka
I've seen very little so far but he doesn't seem to skate very well. Does shoot the puck very well though.

This might sound odd for an overager, but he should be a lock for the 1st round. Might crack the top 20 too
3rd? I see him easily in the 1st round. NHL teams go gaga over d-men with that kind of size even if they have sub-par production... a guy with size and scoring? He's a surefire 1st round pick.
If he keeps up with that level of play in mestis/liiga, it would be stupid to not draft him after the 1st. Similar dominating flow like with seider.
Is Yegor Chinakov the earliest second year eligible NHL draft pick of the last 10-15 years? Could Pulkkinen go earlier than Chinakov?

I think it's very much possible, but it's a deep D class so who knows if teams would take Pulkkinen over a strong group of younger guys, but Round 1-early 2nd is looking more realistic.
