he is horrible in his own zone
You sure seem critical of your country’s team.

Bob McKenzie just called him the best Swede player so far, dynamic in all three zones. He did call him a Red Wings prospect though, not sure what to make of his opinion.

Maybe his puck moving skill makes up for his lack of assertiveness in his own zone? Enough to carve himself a role in the NHL?

Mike Johnson just called him one of the best players of the tournament so far, mentioning his good D.

Andrae hasn’t stood out in a bad way defensively compared to the other Swedish D. Quite easily the best Swedish player overall… which doesn’t say a whole lot.

Hes always one of the best, if not the best. Hes just underrated because hes five foot 1.
The problem with Andrae is that he is horrible in his own zone.

He is skilled offensivly and has a hard body and is physical. But he is a black hole in his own zone.

He's not horrible in his own zone. The big issue is his skating.

Can't believe that people are complaining about the one player who played like he wanted to win.

some posters have an agenda....they don't want to be wrong about a prospect so they continue to try and diminish the player when others compliment the player..... we've all seen with our own eyes how good Andrae is....6 games is a pretty good barometer for someone to form an opinion one way or the other. kid is physically strong for his size, good movement with the puck transitioning up the ice.... good offensive awareness and shot! Will that translate to NHL success is the question

it's his first season overseas. how is he doing?
hes been pretty solid the last 10 games after a concussion but he had a slow start to the season. hes got 15 points now in 22 games, I think the other guy was looking at his PIMs. He's not fast enough for his size so even in the AHL he gets beaten to pucks quite often but hes not getting bullied in battles if he gets there so his base is strong but I dont know if he'll be able to keep up in the NHL. Majority of his points are on the power play and thats kind of dried the last few games now that Samu has cooled off

32 points in 61 games and 66pims in his rookie season in North America... How did he look? Does he have potential to make an impact at the NHL level?
