LD Donovan Sebrango - Kitchener Rangers, OHL (2020, 63rd, DET, traded to OTT)

Plays with a lot of bite and has a good first pass. I think they put him down in the ECHL in part because the Wings made a mistake carrying too many guys but also for Cossa. He could maybe somewhere down the line turn into a 3rd pairing pk guy. He has had a weird developmental track in part because of Covid.

I saw he made his debut last night - how’d he play and what does his future look like?
He wasnt noticeable from the two periods I saw, which is a good thing for him for the most part.

I know he's a physical dman, but that part will come once he establishes himself and becomes more confident he'll probably be even more engaged.

So probably a tweener defender like Ruhwedel? Or does he have legitimate potential to play in the lineup night in and out?

Given what I've seen of his in the AHL when Belleville plays Laval and this one game i got to watch live, I'd say there's a chance he could be a bottom pairing, old school, physical dman who won't add much offensively.

I can see him being a regular for a couple of years even having a longish career because of the toughness, physicality be can bring while blocking shots.

A bit of a security blanket to a degree.
