What's the cost? Maybe a package deal that includes Jakob Chychrun?

I imagine the only players not for trade would be Kopitar, Doughty, Byfield, and Clarke.

Which leaves: Gabe Vilardi, Rasmus Kupari, Alex Turcotte, Tyler Madden, Helge Grans, Jordan Spence, Sean Walker, Brock Faber, Akil Thomas etc.

Why not Clarke?

Because he is the best defender we ever drafted behind Doughty, tt least he is seen as that.
The whole point is to find players to fit in with our upcoming core, not trading the core away to randomly throw players into a team.
Also i wouldn't declare Doughty and Kopitar untouchable

If trading for Crouse, it should be in a 1vs1 trade, still don't know what Crouse would bring to the table we don't already have

Wow this is so so wrong. Look I like the kid as much as the next King fan, but you do know we drafted Blake and L Murphy and the kid has a ton to prove to be as good as those two were. So a kid with 0 NHL games is better than 2 HOF’ers. That’s pretty clueless.

Considering the Kings brass has gone on record to say as much about Clarke, makes me think you’re a little off in your assessment.. Unless we’re getting McJebus, Clarke is as untouchable as it gets

I agree he should be untouchable but if you think he is better than 2 HOF guy you either are to young to know or just overvalue the new toy. BTW do you have anything showing our brass thinks he is the 2nd best defenseman ever drafted. I know they like him but that’s just crazy talk.

In the few game sample size I’ve seen, Crouse has really become such a better player from 2-3 years ago

This was the initial interview when they drafted the and there’s another one where it’s more obvious.. when I find it, I’ll post that as well..

the person he didn’t want to name was Drew Doughty.. I’m looking for that link though I can’t remember if it’s an actual video interview.. but I’ll post it when I find it

Our GM went on record stating Crouse is not for sale this season. I'd imagine Kupari and a pick in the early 2nd round makes a lot of sense but Crouse is about to enter prime power forward years, and we may end up better sooner than later if this TDL goes our way.

Not saying you couldn't buy him, but if he's your top choice, expect to pay for it to get him early.

Kings definitely aren't trading Clarke for Crouse. In a package for Crouse and Chychrun, I could see the value, but I'm just not interested in moving Clarke.

I definitely met a package for Chychrun. In no universe do I expect Clarke going the other way for just Crouse.

Sounds more like talking about what’s recently been in the system. Guys like an undrafted Steve Duchesne even, or Alex Zhitnik, Slava Votnov, etc, all came through the Kings system. Not to mention a couple of Hall of Famers.

The kid’s a top D prospect currently but saying they’ve never had anything like him implies he’s generational and that’s just silly.

Right now he’s the shiny new draft pick doing exactly what he’s supposed to be doing in his development. He probably breaks the tail end of Top 10 D prospects as we speak. Let’s see him play against men next year and see where it goes.

You’re right however, by thinking there’s no way they trade him for Crouse though. If they’re moving him, they’re using him in a package for a high end player. You just shouldn’t trade top end D prospects unless it’s a huge move. It usually backfires.

I like Crouse but he's a third liner at best. Wouldn't give up any of our top prospects. Don't want Chychrun.

A 3rd liner at best? I take it you don't watch any Coyotes games
I don't have to watch any Coyotes games to read stats. He has max 25 points in a full season. Granted, he's on a 39 point pace this season, but that just doesn't scream top 6 to me.

That's perfect.

I'm not trying to get a top six forward. Then we'll just have guys like Byfield and Kaliyev getting 4th line minutes and have everyone whine about it.

Crouse for Turcotte is an interesting proposal as a hockey trade. Doubt Arizona does it, but it’s interesting.

You also forgot to mention who thinks this trade is interesting, it's for sure not the Kings peeps

Crouse is a real solid NHL player that would be good in a playoff setting. Turcotte is an underwhelming AHL player.

Arizona may have no interest.

You can tell my fellow Kings fan know nothing about Crouse. He’s been a really good player this season. I’d make an offer for him for sure. Skill and grit
