So, you can't tell me what type of player Kulich is that you have in spades so you attack the source is that what your post is saying?

How about the AHL List does that make you feel better? I am getting the feeling you have no idea what you are talking about.

What ones play for Utah on that list?

Utah's top prospects are playing in the NHL.

Logan Cooley has 70+ points in 100+ games from the same draft as Kulich.

Round 3 and still can't tell me the type of player Kulich is that Utah has in spades. Maybe Craig Button can tell you?

I'm not sure what is confusing here.

Utah is loaded with skill and goal scoring throughout their top six. They don't have a desperate need for Kulich's skill set compared to Crouse's.

They traded a comparable prospect in Geekie for Sergachev.

All I did was ask you what type of player Kulich is and you went off on Craig Button. Kulich is nothing like Geekie.

Well ask the UHC fan that started the thread.

Crouse has 4 goals this year and is on track for 19 points.

No way in hell I am trading Kulich for him.
How many points does Kulich have in the NHL?

You don't trade an established Unicorn player who is a consistent 20g scorer, leader, physical, and good defensively while also driving his own line and not needing to play with skill to produce for a player who isn't an absolute slam dunk. Big fan of Kulich but there's by far no guarantee he ever produces or that he will be a better player than Crouse. Plus winger is by far the least needed position for Utah, if they think he can play center that's different but is he going to be better than Cooley/Bjugstad/Kerfoot as a center? Hard to say.

Well he obviously thinks Utah could use some more skill and scoring and obviously thinks Crouse could use a fresh start somewhere else.

I assume @rt is making the trade with the hope Kulich can become a center and help solve that issue moving forward for Utah. But I won’t put words in his mouth. I’m not sold at all on that potential in Kulich’s game, but I guess I see the idea.

Well Kulich is playing Center in the NHL a lot better than he ever did in the AHL imo and is the reason why I would not do this trade as much as I would love to have Crouse. Buffalo is in desperate need of NHL centers with trading Mitts and Cozens showing he isn't capable of being an NHL center more and more.

Not saying Crouse = Cozen in value, but just curious what your take is on Cozen's value considering he's on pace for 34 points @ $7 mil.

It's not good.. which is why he should not be traded right now.

Nailed it. I want the possibility that he can turn into center for Utah long-term. Something along the lines of a healthier Josh Norris-lite type of player.

Perhaps he’s pointing out that Utah’s most productive line is McBain(24yrs)-Cooley(20yrs)-Guenther(21yrs) and their top two prospects (in my own opinion) are wingers Tij Iginla and Daniil But. Given all of that, prioritizing young scoring forwards for the top six might not be the most pressing need for Utah. Especially given the blueline is decimated by injuries and the goaltending situation is very inconsistent and up in the air behind this season.

All of which is valid.

And yet…Crouse is slumping, may need a change, Buffalo could use a player like him (when he’s performing) and I personally see Kulich as interesting because he’s NHL ready and has a shot at playing C in the near term.

So while I don’t speak for Utah, this is just a thought exercise for myself. :)

For Crouse? ;)

Not trading Kulich for him.
It seems most people feel Utah wins this deal. I wonder if Utah adding any salary retention moves the needle at all?

I'm not really interested in this kind of deal, not because it's bad, but I believe we should be looking at the more prime aged players like Norris, even with a few warts.

I'd also add that there is nothing wrong with Crouse, outside of his point totals. I'd need to go check, but I think Crouse has started slow every season for 3 seasons now. I'm expecting a surge in point to start up here in the coming weeks. Doan (Shane) (it's cool that I have to specify which Doan now) was like that for a while too.

Edit: ChatGPT is cool. I'm also wrong about Crouse's production.

These are the two teams I know best and watch most and no way am I trading Kulich for Crouse from a Buffalo standpoint. In theory Crouse's style is what Buffalo is looking for he's just not good. And I'm not sure Utah needs Kulich.
