Exactly, how many coaches can one group of players have? This would be 4 in less than 5 years if they fired Laviolette. They haven’t been a legitimately good 5v5 team for any of them, which is where a coach would have the most impact. At some point the blame must be put on the players.

Laviolette keeps trotting out the same losers over and over just to get pummeled. he could limit their ice time if he was able to recognize how shit they are. i agree that the team isn't good enough but there has to be some blame put on the coaches for not recognizing certain players getting dummied every time they step on the ice. for instance, on what planet did Mika deserve to be out there for the 6on5 today?

It’s the players and the way the team is constructed. Special teams and goaltending have covered a lot of their issues over the years.

Yeah but management have been happy to employ coaches to play the team like that. It's been a short cut to playoff hockey without bothering to create an actual TEAM. That's why I've been blasting the coaches over the years. They've been happy enough to be bench coaches and roll the lines, but they've been cheating on the fundamentals and just hoped Igor or Panarin or Fox or Kreider would come up with a big save or a big goal.

Cooper in Tampa actually build a team with solid foundations that took Tampa to two cups. That's the difference. He didn't float along on top of a country club collecting a fat pay check.
